My future career?

Hello,
So this morning when it was 2am and I couldn't sleep. I couldn't help but thing about what I would like to do for a career. Over the past couple of months I have been trying to decide, I considered becoming an author, lawyer, medical examiner and forensic scientist. So when I was being sleep-deprived I decided to go over my interests, which include Biology especially DNA and genetics, Chemistry, IT and Maths which I had decided I was going to take for A level as I know that is where my path lies.
However while I was awake and me being me I think best late at night in this case, really early morning. Thinking about the things I enjoy and love I realised Forensic science was one of the best options for me as it Chemistry, the aspects of Biology I enjoy as well as Maths and IT which is everything I seem to love.
I have been told by one of my teachers that forensics is hard to get into and isn't a very good career choice but I have come to realise that even though she says this I am a hard-working, determined person and if I truly want something I will go out and work for it therefore I have decided this seems like the logical route to go down.
Another thing that triggered my realisation was watching the show Orphan Black which is about clones, DNA and genetics therefore watching this show made me realise my interests for genetics.
I love science and have realised this is the career for me and have been deciding the options I have as I dislike Physics and enjoy Biology and Chemistry. Many things come to mind when I think about the things I love but have realised writing and History are just hobbies of mine and I just like knowing about the past therefore it doesn't seem wise to go down those paths as I would probably get bored and they are my hobbies therefore I can still have time to do them whether it is my profession or not.
Although I know science was my career I wasn't sure of what sector as there are many different types of Biology and Chemistry alone let alone compared therefore it was a difficult decision deciding what I want to do.
To become a forensic scientist I don't need a degree in forensic science it can be Biology or Chemistry related therefore leaving more jobs open for me in the future in case I decided I don't want to do that.
If you are thinking I am to young to decide (I'm 15) then I don't have much of a choice because I start Year 11 in September therefore I am going to take my GCSEs next June so I will need to decide what I want to do for A level before I have even completed my exams so I need so idea of where I want to head if not than a career already decided.
I have decided my teacher that told me not to purse this. Well screw her, if I want it enough I will be willing to do what I have to. I have done research and have a possible plan and idea of what I can do, to ensure I have the best chance at getting a job as you need work experience therefore I will try to achieve this as soon as possible.
I have been influenced to do this as without the show NCIS I wouldn't know what forensic science is and might never have found it. So thanks to NCIS and the forensic scientist Abby Sciuto aka Pauley Perrette.

And this gang of weirdos is one of my favourite casts and I have some much respect and admiration for what they do and the entire show. They are my idols and inspiration.

Thanks for reading.

Downton Abbey

Hello,

So this week I have been watching Downton Abbey again because I want to catch up before Season 5 airs in the UK, this autumn. Downton Abbey is one of my favourite TV shows, I guess it is probably because I have such an interest in History and I love just watching how a family would have lived during the early 20th century and shortly after the First World War. I think Downton Abbey displays this nicely, obviously they probably don't have everything they should have but I really enjoy it.
Apart from the costumes and the setting. I adore the actors. My favourite characters being Miss Hughes and Mr Carson as well as Anna and Mr Bates. I much prefer the servants than the people upstairs because they display the realities of life rather than the false ones of the upstairs.

Although I do love the Crawley sisters, Mary, Edith, and Sybil. They really display how having siblings changes the relationships between everyone. Mary and Edith clearly don't get along and I really understand this as me and my younger brother don't get on all the time. Yet Mary and Sybil do which is similar to my life. The relationships between the characters you can relate to your life like you can in most TV shows, however because this is based on a family then you can really relate to it.

I have just started Season 3 again which I have already watched some of but I am looking forward to the episodes I haven't seen yet and the whole of Season 4.
Understandably most 15 year old teenagers don't share my passion for this show and History itself but I seem to get a little thrill of this show, that not everybody gets, but I'm an unusable person and spend my time watching TV shows and Downton Abbey just happens to be one of the, which adds to the collection I have already watched.

Have a good day!
